Erasmus Enterprise is looking for a Marketing & Communication Manager who has a passion for marketing & communication and is willing to further develop the vision of Erasmus Enterprise.
You are an entrepreneurial type with great affinity for the start-up and scale-up world in which you effortlessly switch between various large-scale projects. You like to lead and thanks to your experience and enthusiasm, you know how to get everyone in the organization on board with your marketing plans.
Job profile
- You are responsible for managing the marketing team (1 Videographer and Content Creator, 1 Design & Marketing Coordinator and two interns);
- You are responsible for making short- and long-term marketing strategies;
- in addition, you have final responsibility for the budgets for the different marketing channels. Developing communication tools in collaboration with the Design & Marketing Coordinator and Videographer and Content Creator;
- Devise, execute and evaluate marketing campaigns (online & offline) for large-scale Erasmus Enterprise projects, including Erasmus University Challenge, Talent for Transition and NL Startup Competition;
- Management of the website, social media channels such as Instagram and LinkedIn and public relations; in close cooperation with the Event Manager;
- Collaborating with our affiliates Erasmus Research and Business Support (ERBS), Erasmus Center for Entrepreneurship (ECE), YES! Delft and community members on marketing & communication;
- Monitoring trends and organizations and organizing communication with stakeholders and the Erasmus Enterprise community to make Erasmus Enterprise visible inside and outside the university.
Job requirements
- Successful completion of a marketing/communications degree at least at HBO level;
- At least five years of relevant work experience in an international context;
- (Online) Marketing and brand management are right up your street;
- These s-words appeal to you: social media, SEO, SEA;
- You know Google Analytics like no other;
- You like and have an affinity with design;
- Experience and mastery of programs and software systems we work with (CM, WordPress, Mailchimp, Photoshop);
- High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Broad experience as a spokesperson and with corporate communication and branding;
- You have successful related project management experience;
- Good communication skills and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment;
- Connecting and entrepreneurial. Hands-on mentality;
- Good verbal and written command of the Dutch and English language.
Terms of employment
Fixed-term contract: one year, with the possibility of a longer-term contract if you show that you fit in well with our team.

Erasmus Enterprise
Erasmus Enterprise (EE) is a start-up within the Erasmus University Rotterdam. In a short time, this young and ambitious enterprise has made a name for itself in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation. It operates at the intersection of education and business. The entrepreneurial community is located at the Woudestein Campus of the EUR. The community offers all possibilities for answering all questions related to entrepreneurship for students, employees and (potential) entrepreneurs. Our Ecosystem
Rotterdam, 28 – 32 uur per week (0,7 – 0,8 fte)
Ben jij de Marketing & Communicatie Held met ambitie die kennis en expertise meebrengt, maar die ook van aanpakken weet om ECE te helpen opschalen?
Digital marketing, customer journey, campagnes en channels klinken jou bekend in de oren – sterker nog – hier zit jouw passie en drive! Dan ben jij wellicht onze Marketing & Communicatie Held! De functie is uitermate geschikt voor een marketing en communicatie professional met 2-3 jaar relevante werkervaring die toe is aan een nieuwe, uitdagende stap.
Binnen ECE voeren we een groot aantal projecten uit die verband houden met onderwijs (trainingen, programma’s, coaching) en onderzoek op het gebied van ondernemerschap en innovatie. Met onze platte organisatiestructuur en een team van 20 mensen, sta je in goed contact met de andere teams en ben je verantwoordelijk voor het opstellen en implementeren van digitale marketingstrategieën die onze online zichtbaarheid verbeteren, onze doelgroep betrekken en de bedrijfsgroei stimuleren. Je werkt in cross-functionele teams om campagnes te ontwikkelen en uit te voeren, webcontent te optimaliseren en de boodschap van ons merk effectief te communiceren.
Wat ga je doen?
Strategie, analyse en rapportage:
- Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het maken van korte en lange termijn marketingstrategieën;
- Gebruik digitale marketinganalysetools om de prestaties van online en offline communicatie te volgen, meten en rapporteren;
- Content creeren voor verschillende kanalen (web, social media, nieuwsbrieven);
- Gebruik datagestuurde inzichten om weloverwogen beslissingen te nemen en digitale strategieën voortdurend te verbeteren.
(E-mail) marketing en ontwikkeling van content:
- Ontwikkel (e-mail) marketingcampagnes om onze relaties te koesteren en contact te leggen met onze belanghebbenden en nieuwe doelgroepen;
- Maak overtuigende inhoud, volg de resultaten en optimaliseer campagnes voor betere resultaten.
Beheer van website en webinhoud:
- Beheer en update de website van het bedrijf om ervoor te zorgen dat de inhoud gebruiksvriendelijk is en aansluit bij onze branding en berichtgeving;
- Implementeer SEO-best practices om zoekmachineposities en organisch verkeer te verbeteren.
- Samenwerking:
- Werk samen met het MT, de project leads, graphic designer en marketing stagiair om hoogwaardige digitale inhoud en marketingmaterialen te produceren.
Functie eisen:
Naast een hands-on mentaliteit vragen wij om:
- Succesvolle afronding van een (digitale) marketing/ communicatie opleiding op minimaal HBO- niveau;
- Minimaal 2 jaar relevante werkervaring met digitale marketing, evenals webcontentbeheer, social media en SEO;
- (Online) Marketing en merkmanagement passen in jouw straatje;
- Kennis heeft van e-mailmarketingplatforms, engagement management en analytische tools;
- Hoge mate van vaardigheid in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Sterke schriftelijke en mondelinge communicatieve vaardigheden in zowel het Nederlands als het Engels;
- Verbindend en ondernemend met een hands-on mentaliteit;
- Een creatieve mindset met oog voor detail en design;
- Het vermogen om zelfstandig en als onderdeel van een groeiend team te werken;
- Een pré: kennis van HTML, CSS en webontwikkelingsframeworks;
En pluspunten als je affiniteit hebt met ondernemerschap en innovatie.

- Je salaris is conform schaal 8 cao-NU*;
- 20 verlofdagen per jaar op basis van 0,8 fte (25 verlofdagen per jaar op basis van 1 fte);
- 15 Adv-dagen per jaar op basis van 0,8 fte (19 Adv-dagen per jaar op basis van 1 fte);
- Vakantietoelage 8% van het jaarsalaris;

Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship
Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship (ECE) is een toonaangevend internationaal centrum voor ondernemerschapsonderwijs en -onderzoek. As Intern Entrepreneurial Learning, you will be able to develop your project coordination skills in an environment that is dedicated to empower everyone to be entrepreneurial through building the right skills. To this end, we run entrepreneurship training programmes for students, entrepreneurs, teachers, and policymakers both in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
As part of the education team, you support the smooth implementation of these programmes, working together with experienced trainers and project managers. What you will work on:
- Contribute to the coordination of our entrepreneurial learning programmes for students, entrepreneurs, teachers and policymakers;

- Collaborate with team members to evaluate programme effectiveness and identify areas for improvement to maximise the positive societal impact of our activities;
