Eurekaweek 2021
The Eurekaweek takes place this year from the 16th till the 19th of August.
We are happy to notice that you are interested in registering for the Eurekaweek. We can imagine that you are curious to find out how the program is going to look like. We are working with different scenarios, so it depends on the restrictions in august what the final program is going to look like. Here is a small overview of the different elements that we will include in our program.
The Eurekaweek consists of three key elements:
- Getting to know the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
- Getting to know the city of Rotterdam.
- Getting to know the student life and meeting new people.
These elements are incorporated in the various activities throughout the week. Right now, there is some uncertainty about what the program is going to look like. However, there are general concepts for every scenario that we are working with. These concepts are explained here, and you can expect them to be present no matter what the program is going to look like.
Rotterdam Day
This day starts with an official opening. It is a moment where all the various parties involved in the Eurekaweek are briefly introduced. During this day you will explore the city together with your guides and fellow participants in your group. It is a day that emphasizes on getting to know your fellow students and the city.
Campus Day
This day starts of with some relaxation and entertainment. It is important that all students get some rest during the week. Later during the day there is an emphasis on having fun. There will be lots of dancing and music!
Festival Day
This day starts of with some relaxation and entertainment. It is important that all students get some rest during the week. Later during the day there is an emphasis on having fun. There will be lots of dancing and music!
Sports & Play Day
This is a day filled with activities, partly hosted by the sports associations. There will be plenty of opportunities to get to know all the associations involved. There will be various sportive and fun activities to have a great day.
Online Day
The online day will be held for students that are not able to come to the Eurekaweek physically. There will also be an online program in case of very restricting measures set by the government. This online program will be a mix of the elements that are mentioned earlier.
